RevCo Rises Again With Album, Tour

The Revolting Cocks [ tickets ]' new album, "Sex-O Olympic-O," is set to be released Oct. 14 on 13th Planet Records, the label founded by Ministry/RevCo driving force Al Jourgensen.Jourgensen, who produced the new disc, had planned for the album to be RevCo's swan song. However, vocalist Josh Bradford said in a statement that the quality of the material inspired Jourgensen to slightly change plans."I am leaving after this album, and I'm turning it over to a younger generation of RevCos--much like Menudo does or Blue Man Group," Jourgensen said in a statement. "It started in 1983--with me, Luc Van Acker and Richard 23 from Front 242," he said. "There were three of us, and now, I've found these other three young knuckleheads who I think capture the true essence and spirit of being 'a Revolting Cock,' if you will."Jourgensen's vision for RevCo has one condition: in five years, the three current band members, Bradford, Sin Quirin/guitars, and Clayton Worbeck/keyboards, must turn the band over to three other new guys. "They have to find the right people to carry on the tradition--which is a lot of keg parties, beer chugging, throwing up, sexual abnormalities," Jourgensen said.Details of an upcoming Revolting Cocks fall tour to support "Sex-O Olympic-O" are soon to be announced.
